Accessibility approach
The interface uses semantic HTML, a skip link, one primary H1, descriptive link text, explicit form labels, adequate tap targets, visible keyboard focus, expandable FAQ controls and color combinations designed for readable contrast. Tables are placed in horizontal scroll containers on narrow screens rather than forcing the entire page to overflow.
Tools and interactive features
Calculators can be operated with a keyboard and present results in text. Copy and print controls supplement rather than replace the visible result. Inputs use labels and validation messages. No tool requires a mouse-only gesture, drag action or inaccessible canvas output.
Motion, zoom and layout
The website avoids autoplay video and heavy animation. Browser zoom and text resizing should preserve the main workflow. Responsive layouts are tested at common phone, tablet and desktop widths. Users who prefer reduced motion should not be forced through decorative transitions.
External government portals
Official destinations are operated by other organizations and may not meet the same accessibility standard. County Property Lookup cannot modify those portals, but a broken or inaccessible route can be reported so the page can identify an alternative official contact when available.
Report an accessibility barrier
Use the contact form and choose “Accessibility issue.” Include the page URL, device or assistive technology, the task you were trying to complete and a description of the barrier. Do not include confidential property or identity information.
